Nadia Nakia Fumes Over The Rate Of Music Piracy In South Africa. South African Rapper and Model signed to Casper Nyovest’s family tree record isn’t just a fan of music Piracy at all.
She’s taken to her Twitter handle to address the issue on music Piracy stressing that Artistes deserve more streaming and sales numbers. Accompanying her tweet with screenshots of the total monthly Spotify listens from Nasty C, Casper Nyovest and Shane Eagle, she confessed that she was blown away by Nasty C’s numbers.
Damn!! Our numbers need to grow!!! You can’t ALL be pirating!? Our Shit slaps too! Go listen to my DAMN ALBUM man! 🔥🔥🔥 btw! Nasty’s number literally blew me away! 🙆🏾♀️ wow bro! pic.twitter.com/4uPfZ2LrzO

Nasty C happened to be the most streamed artiste on Spotify among the three with over 300k monthly streams Whiles Casper followed with Shane eagle been the last among the three.
Though these numbers look satisfying but Bragga on the other side feels that’s just half the numbers they deserve had it not been the numerous music Piracy that’s been going on.
” our shits slaps and we deserve better numbers”. She made it clear in her tweet. Piracy on it’s own is a continental problem. Not only South Africa is been hindered but the whole Africa as a whole . Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and a host of several African countries are all been affected.
Perhaps the absence of anti Piracy laws in these countries are the main reasons. Almost every popular website will rather put songs on their site for free download rather than promote streaming links. In South Africa, Fakaza is the leading pirate website of music but nothing have been done so far about it.
How long will it go on? Should music industries pass and implement the ANTI – PIRACY laws in the interest of Artistes or should we just let things be? Nadia Nakia Fumes Over The Rate Of Music Piracy In South Africa.
