Wizkid Wins “Best African Act” At MOBO Awards 2020. Congratulations are in order for Wizkid as he wins another MOBO Award as “Best African Act” in 2020.
On December 10, 2020, the MOBO Awards returned after a three-year hiatus and Nigerian superstars, Wizkid and Burna Boy won big at event. Wizkid was named the Best African Act while Burna Boy was named the Best International Act.
On November 24, 2020, nominations for the 2020 Music of Black Origin Awards were announced. Nigerian stars, Wizkid, Burna Boy Davido, Rema, Fireboy, Adekunle Gold and Tiwa Savage got nods at the event for the event which honours black music from all corners of the world.
The award organisers announced Wizkid as the winner of the “Best African Act” category. The category had a competitive lineup of stars like Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, etc.
In time past, Wizkid has won the MOBO award as both “Best African Act” and “Best International Act”.
This year Wizkid dropped his highly anticipated 4th studio album “Made in Lagos”. The project featured stars like Skepta, Burna Boy, Ella Mai, Damian Marley etc.
